The PolarPro DJI Spark Filter 3-Pack is constructed with high quality materials that enable you to capture the best image quality possible, and last a lifetime. PolarPro prides itself on its craftsmanship and attention to detail when it comes to building filters, and we made no exception with the DJI Spark filters. Included in the Prime 3-pack is a fixed polarizer, ND8, and ND16 filters. Each filter is constructed with PolarPro’s HD glass for razor sharp clarity. Crafted with an aircraft grade aluminum, the frame is designed to be very light weight, yet extremely durable. PolarPro backs all its filters with a lifetime guarantee and promises you will be satisfied with your filters. We also guarantee these filters will be 100% compatible with the DJI Spark camera’s start-up initialization as well as within the amount of weight the gimbal can safely handle. The PolarPro DJI Spark 3-Pack is perfect for pilots who wish to enhance their image quality and capture smooth cinematic content.
Included Filters:
Polarizer (fixed): The fixed Spark Polarizer filter is pre-set to a horizontal polarization angle. This is the angle that will reduce the broadest amount of glare. It is designed to be extremely easy to use, just install it and fly. The Polarizer helps reduce glare and increase color saturation and contrast.
ND8 filter: The ND8 Spark Filter reduces the cameras shutter speed by 3-stops. The purpose of an ND filter is to slow shutter speed and give your video a smooth cinematic look. Generally, you will use an ND8 on a cloudy to partly cloudy day for best results.
ND16 filter: The ND16 Spark Filter reduces the cameras shutter speed by 4-stops. With this filter, you will get the best results on Partly cloudy to Sunny days. The ND16 will slow the DJI Spark’s shutter speed to give your videos a smooth and cinematic look.
What do ND filters do?
The primary purpose of an ND filter is to reduce shutter speed. The 180-degree rule of shutter is a standard in motion pictures and cinema. This principle states that shutter speed should be double frame rate to get each frame to blend together, creating a smooth traditional cinema look. If you are shooting 4K 30 frames per second, you would want your shutter speed to be 1/60th. To achieve a 1/60th shutter speed outdoors, typically you will need an ND filter. You will use different ND filters for different lighting conditions. Generally, the brighter it is outside, the stronger the ND filter you will need. To summarize, ND filters help lower shutter speed to capture smooth, cinematic content.
What does a Polarizer do?
A polarizer helps reduce glare reflecting off water, the ground, trees, pretty much everything under the sun. By reducing glare, enhanced and more saturated colors are left behind making your videos or images pop. In addition to increased color saturation a polarizer filter will help increase contrast.
Is it safe to use filters with a gimbal?
We put all our filters through a variety of gimbal load tests. All our DJI Spark filters are below the maximum weight threshold we established with the DJI Spark. We fully guarantee filter compatibility with the DJI Spark camera/gimbal and that it will have no negative effects on your gimbal. We have been making filters for gimbal and drones for 4 years now, our brand is very familiar with what these cameras and gimbals can and can’t handle.
